Warranty Terms & Conditions

At Innovative Colours Painting Group, we take pride in the quality of our workmanship and materials. To provide our clients with confidence in the durability and finish of our work, we offer the following workmanship warranty on completed residential painting projects.

Warranty Coverage

New Painting Projects
All new residential painting projects completed by Innovative Colours Painting Group are covered by a five (5) year workmanship warranty from the date of project completion.

Repaint / Maintenance Projects
Residential repaint or maintenance painting projects are covered by a two (2) year workmanship warranty from the date of project completion.

This warranty applies to defects in workmanship, including but not limited to:

• Peeling or flaking paint resulting from improper surface preparation or application

• Premature blistering caused by workmanship issues

• Adhesion failure where correct preparation and materials were used

• Application defects that significantly affect the appearance or performance of the paint coating

Where a valid warranty claim is confirmed, Innovative Colours Painting Group will repair or recoat the affected area at no labour cost to the client.

Warranty Conditions

This warranty is valid under the following conditions:

• Full payment for the project has been received in accordance with the agreed contract terms.

• The surfaces painted were in sound condition at the time of preparation and application.

• The property owner has taken reasonable steps to maintain the painted surfaces.

• Any structural, moisture, or substrate issues were disclosed prior to commencement of work.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover defects or failures resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

• Structural movement, building settlement, or substrate failure

• Water ingress, leaks, rising damp, or moisture-related issues

• Mould, mildew, or fungal growth caused by environmental conditions

• Damage caused by impact, abrasion, misuse, or neglect

• Normal wear and tear

• Damage caused by chemicals, pressure washing, or cleaning methods

• Acts of nature including storms, flooding, fire, or extreme weather

• Surfaces that were previously coated with unstable or incompatible coatings

• Areas where the client requested work to proceed despite recommended repairs not being completed

• Paint failure resulting from manufacturer defects (these are covered by the paint manufacturer’s warranty where applicable)

Colour Fading & Natural Weathering

All paint coatings are subject to natural weathering and exposure to sunlight, UV radiation, and environmental conditions. As such, the following are not considered defects under this warranty:

• Gradual colour fading

• Loss of gloss or sheen over time

• Minor hairline cracking due to normal building movement

Third-Party Work

This warranty does not cover any defects or damage caused by:

• Work carried out by other contractors after completion

• Installation, renovation, or building works affecting painted surfaces

• Repairs, alterations, or repainting completed by parties other than Innovative Colours Painting Group

Warranty Claim Process

To make a warranty claim, the client must:

1. Notify Innovative Colours Painting Group in writing within the applicable warranty period.

2. Provide details of the issue along with photographs where possible.

3. Allow reasonable access for inspection of the affected areas.

Upon inspection, if the issue is determined to be covered under this warranty, we will arrange appropriate repairs within a reasonable timeframe.

Repair Scope

Warranty repairs will be limited to the specific areas where workmanship defects have occurred. Repainting of entire walls, rooms, or properties will not be undertaken unless deemed necessary by Innovative Colours Painting Group to achieve a consistent finish.

Transferability

This warranty applies to the original property owner for whom the work was completed and is not transferable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Limitation of Liability

Innovative Colours Painting Group’s liability under this warranty is strictly limited to the repair or recoating of the defective area. No compensation will be provided for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
